We work with some great industry organisations such as Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) and The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), who provide excellent resources and support for the meat industry.

Training tailored to chefs and buyers.

If you would like to learn more about meat, AHDB offer an award-winning meat education program tailored to chefs, foodservice professionals, buyers and those working in the catering and hospitality industry. It is a free program and can be accessed via the AHDB website.

AHDB’s Meat Education Program provides practical butchery and theory training modules covering beef, lamb and pork cuts, cooking with red meat, and customer service.

Practical modules are also included with butchers in mind. You can learn more about the practical training on the AHDB website.

Assessments are completed online, in your own time, and certifications are available for the theory modules. All completely free of charge!

The meat education program is aligned with the Butchery Apprenticeship (Level 2) and the Advanced Butcher (Level 3).
