Prep time & cook time: 15 to 20 minutes. Servings:  1 or 2 portions ( dependant on steak size)


  • 360g T- Bone Steak
  • 6g Sea salt
  • 1g Whole black peppercorn
  • 30ml Pure olive oil
  • 80g Smoked rindless streaky bacon
  • 300g Batter mix
  • 100g White onions
  • 1 x Hispi cabbage
  • 80g Blue cheese
  • 30ml Dressing


1. Remove steak from packaging and allow to breath, generously rub with oil and seasoning and cook to you liking.
2. Cur the hispi cabbage in half and blanch quickly , allow to dry ( ideally overnight) then deep fry quickly and place onto oven tray.
3. Top with chunks of blue cheese, cooked crispy bacon and bake for 10-12 minutes until hot.
4. Top with crispy shallots, buttermilk ranch dressing and serve with the cooked steak.
5. Serve the steak with the hispi cabbage, crunchy onion rings ( double onion style -try adding crispy shallots to the batter before cooking ).
